Anna’s Cotswold Window Liberty Garden Quilt

This is the last of Suzanne Campion’s lovely projects using my exclusive Butterfly Garden range of fabrics from last year.  Suzanne has called this her Anna’s Cotswold Window Liberty Garden Quilt.  She’s used one fat quarter of the Anna’s Garden Teal fabric in a really clever way.  I love the way she’s continued the fabric pattern looking through the window.         What gave you the idea to make this quilt? “I have always wanted to make an Attic Window quilt. When I received this fat quarter of your exclusive Anna’s Garden print it was what I would like …

Quilted Liberty Jacket

Gill Nicholls from the Lewes Sewing Bees has made this stunning Quilted Liberty Jacket.  She’s used Anna’s Garden Teal from my exclusive ‘Butterfly Garden’ collection and has lined it with Plain Light Pink Tana Lawn.  I thoroughly enjoyed modelling this beautiful jacket and quite fancy making one myself!  I asked Gill about the project.     Why did you choose the fabric? “I chose Anna’s garden fabric because it was a stunning large print with gorgeous colours. A quilted jacket seemed a good choice although the fabric would look amazing as many different garments.”     Which pattern did you …

Beautiful Liberty Table Runner

I’m showcasing another one of the Lewes sewing Bees projects this week – this beautiful Liberty Table Runner has been made by Anne Commin (you can see her on @anagrananne on Instagram).  She’s used a selection of fabrics from the ‘Butterfly Garden’ exclusive collection.   I absolutely love the use of Anna’s Garden Teal – a hint in the binding and leaves on the table runner front, then beautifully backed in it too.  The softer colours of Felicite, Danjo, Mini Edenham, Strawberry Thief and two Wiltshire colour ways from the collection are perfect for the apples.      Anne tells …

Liberty Top With A Cute Collar

Anna JP from the office has made this really cute Liberty Top With A Cute Collar.  It’s made using one of our sale fabrics ‘Poppy’s Patchwork‘.   I asked Anna about the project. “Whilst amusing myself tidying up the long rolls in the studio one afternoon and wondering if any of the prints would work for a lightweight window screen, I felt a pull towards this small geometric print with the subtle yet clear summery colours. I decided to make a sleeveless top (not a window screen – but maybe that’ll come later), so went about finding a suitable pattern. …

Liberty Quilting Cotton – Orchard Garden Collection

The new ‘Orchard Cottage Collection’ of Liberty Quilting Cotton is now out.  The collection looks so lovely stacked up in bolts and really shines as a whole collection.  The collection is inspired by the stately gardens of grand English houses. There are beautiful floral gardens with primulas and pretty blossoms, orchards with cherries, strawberries, plums and citrus fruits.  The collection is a blend of new artwork and redrawn designs from the extensive Liberty archive.  The colours include deep berry autumnal shades, soft pumpkin hues which sit with deep emerald foliage and fresh blues.  This collection completes the quilting cotton garden …
