Liberty Detachable Collar

Laura has made this gorgeous Liberty Detachable Collar which is fully reversible.  It’s got a lovely vintage style about it and I love the fact that it is two garments in one.  Laura told me about the project below: “I have never had any need to do the whole ‘Christmas jumper’ thing. Certainly no need for jumpers in December in Australia. ‘Christmas sunburn’ was more the thing, an attractive red and regret-tinged momento of what my Christmas Day outfit of choice did not cover. Ouch. However I must say that even if they were a thing Down Under, I probably …

Pauline said about the make “I spotted it on Pinterest and thought it was the perfect no-sew festive make when time is always short at this time of year.  I have loads of pine cones so it was meant to be.  Armed with my trusty glue gun and beautiful Christmas inspired Liberty fabric, already pre cut into 2″ ribbon strips, it was a …

Kathy has made these lovely Liberty Christmas Decorations.  They are a really great, simple make that could be made as part of a Christmas crafting session – perhaps a lovely mum and daughter project. Kathy talks about her Christmas crafting here: “I made these decoration as a little aside to the rest of my my Christmas makes.  I saw them on Pinterest and thought they were a little shabby chic.  It’s a great project which can be made out of scraps.” “Firstly, I embroidered the words onto some hessian fabric I already had in my stash and sewed this onto …

Rosie Rabbit Liberty Luna Lapin

Lara from the studio has made this gorgeous Rosie Rabbit Liberty Luna Lapin.  It’s from the book Luna Lapin’s Friends by Sarah Peel and the results are really beautiful.  In actual fact, she’s made 3 of the teddies from the book but we thought we would share them over time as they are so lovely. I asked Lara about the make: “The rabbit is based on Luna Lapin but I did make quite a few alterations.  I wanted to make a Little Red Riding Rabbit for my daughter Sophia and used the Wiltshire S fabric to make her dress.  I …

Liberty Christmas Angels

Sarah from the studio has made these really sweet Liberty Christmas Angels.  She’s used seasonal Liberty quilting cotton fabrics which showcase the angles cloaks beautifully.   Sarah told me about the project: “To make the angels, I didn’t follow a pattern, I discovered them online through Pinterest and followed a link. They were very simple to make and involved both sewing and sticking! I chose quilting fabrics for these as it gave them a firmer finish than Tana. I picked traditional colours, typical of my taste, Wiltshire Shadow Forest and Wiltshire Shadow Ruby for the cloaks and lined them with …

Christmas Liberty Pyjamas

Anna has been busy making Christmas Liberty Pyjamas for her children.  There’s nothing quite like the feel of Liberty Tana Lawn against your skin and a pair of Christmas pyjamas is a lovely thing to receive. I asked Anna about the project: “I love making things for my children at Christmas but as they get older they are getting more specific about what they love to receive.  This year I thought I would make pyjama bottoms and get a lovely snuggly top to go with them.  I used the pattern Simplicity 1504 which has got lots of different options for …
