Crowning Glory Full Quilt Kit

A beautiful quilt designed to celebrate Queen Elizabeth II’s Platinum Jubilee – 70 amazing long years on the throne.  May it be the smile-inducing backdrop to many celebrations in June.  For the rest of the year it is just as suited to be used as a picnic blanket, make-shift cape, sofa or bed covering for anybody who likes playing make believe.  You too may be the king or queen of your own kingdom with this quilt!  The quilt is constructed using traditional and simple patchwork techniques.  Strip piecing and half square triangles are simple to make and the techniques for both are easy to master.

This kit comprises a mixture of Liberty Tana Lawn® prints and plains as well as Tilda Tea Towel fabric to create a suitably British red, white and blue coloured quilt.

Included in this kit:

1 piece of white cotton fabric for the background

3 pieces of Liberty Tana Lawn® fabric and 1 piece of Tilda fabric for the crowns

4 pieces of Liberty Tana Lawn® fabric for the jewels, including fabric for the binding.

You will need: Iron, pins, thread, sewing machine, grid ruler, cutting mat and rotary cutter.

Optional – free motion quilting foot, heat erasable pen.
