PATTERN : Liberty Hexagon Patchwork Anna Bag Pattern

£5.00

This is a new Liberty pattern in my range of bags. It was inspired by my friend Anna – hence it’s the Anna Bag – who is making a quilt for her daughter from hand pieced Liberty of London hexagons.

I’m normally too impatient to hand sew, yet I’ve always envied the portability of crafts like knitting. So I devised this partly-portable sewing project as a way to reconnect with making by hand. It’s a great everyday bag – the riot of colour and pattern brightens up even the mistiest autumn day. The gathered top with a pleat means that it’s compact but, Mary Poppins-style, holds a surprising amount.
