This sweet Anna’s Stars Cushion is the perfect cushion to relax and cuddle up to on a sofa, bed, occasional chair, or even in a caravan or yurt! Mostly hand-sewn and with so many different fabrics it will be a great talking point and treasured heirloom. Its padded front makes quilting details pop as well as being super soft to touch.
The main construction technique of this cushion uses English Paper Piecing (EPP). If new to the technique you will find that EPP is actually quite a simple (and addictive!) way to hand sew. EPP is also great for sewing on-the-go, the perfect thing to keep hands occupied on holiday or while travelling. Simply prepare your fabric shapes in advance and pop a handful in a small purse along with a hand sewing needle, thread and small snips – genius!
YOU WILL NEED: A variety of patterned and plain fabrics, scissors or rotary cutter and ruler, pins, sewing machine, hand sewing needle and thread. Optional: water-soluble fabric glue pen
