PATTERN: Dresden Plate Cushion Pattern

£5.00

This Dresden Plate Cushion is a great way to show off all of your favourite Liberty prints at once. For a bright and bold look, each petal should be a different fabric in a rainbow selection. Or you could alternate four different fabrics around the flower shape to fit in with a tighter decor. With so many fabrics used in this cushion the design possibilities are endless!

Construction of this cushion uses the English Paper Pieced (EPP) method and a traditional shape known as the Dresden Plate. If new to the technique you will find that EPP is actually quite a simple (and addictive!) way to hand sew.

This pattern is very well suited for Liberty Tana Lawn on the front as the Dresden petals and border fabrics. Liberty Tana Lawn or Liberty Quilting Cotton would work as the background and also on the back of the cushion.
