Anna’s Cotswold Window Liberty Garden Quilt

This is the last of Suzanne Campion’s lovely projects using my exclusive Butterfly Garden range of fabrics from last year.  Suzanne has called this her Anna’s Cotswold Window Liberty Garden Quilt.  She’s used one fat quarter of the Anna’s Garden Teal fabric in a really clever way.  I love the way she’s continued the fabric pattern looking through the window.

What gave you the idea to make this quilt?
“I have always wanted to make an Attic Window quilt. When I received this fat quarter of your exclusive Anna’s Garden print it was what I would like to see out of my window.”

I love the feeling of perspective in this quilt – how did you achieve this?
“The trick is to choose a light, medium and dark fabric to give the 3D effect.”

Why did you choose the fabrics in this quilt?
“I wanted to show off the beauty of the Anna’s Garden print and the Capel reminded me of your beautiful cotswold stone. I brought out the deep pink outline detail with the Plain Aubergine.”

How did you quilt it?
“I machine quilted this using the window frame as a guide and to add to the 3D effect.”
