I’m completely in love with this Beautiful Liberty Sewing Bag. Anne from the Lewes Sewing Bees has made this gorgeous bag using all three of our Alice Caroline Tresco Exclusives.
Anne said “These colour ways are delicious and it was a delight to work with them. As ever, Tana Lawn® is my 100% favourite cotton fabric to sew with. It’s a pure delight to the hand. Most of the Bees (Lewes Sewing Bees) have made this bag. During the week, all of my sewing stuff mounts up in the bag until Thursday evening then I clear it out ready for my Sewing Bees meet up on Friday!”
“The pattern is based on one produced by the Quilters Trading Post called ‘Crafters Carry-All’ which Gill and I spotted at the Ardingly Quilt Show about 5 years ago. We made ours with Bosal rather than wadding to make the handles sturdier and gave the triple pocket a more professional look by letting each section stand proud and flush with the side.”
“I use the 3 little pockets for diary, phone keys plus lots of other things. You can have fun plonking loads of stuff in and I highly recommend making at least one of these. This will be my second and is now my new favourite. I bought the little photo box from Hobbycraft to store the hexagons in – a really handy little tidy option for EPP (English Paper Piecing).”
