I am delighted to announce the new Exclusive Liberty Fabric Collection by Alice Caroline.
I’ve been working in collaboration with the Liberty design studio for some time now to create a stunning new range of fabrics, exclusive to us here at Alice Caroline.
My Exclusive Liberty Fabric Collection comprises of 12 beautiful and popular Liberty prints which have been recoloured to create a stunning Liberty rainbow in dusty tones. The rainbow tones in this new collection are really pretty soft pastels that still have the hallmark of strong Liberty design and colour. In addition to this, I couldn’t resist adding a rescaled Irma fabric in pretty pastel pinks and a Christmas Wiltshire.
The exclusives we launched last year were so popular that I couldn’t resist working with the Liberty design team again. This range has been inspired by both my love of Liberty fabrics and by my desire to see new colour options in some of my favourite prints. I have spent many months collecting scraps, delving through archive fabrics and playing around with colours to get to this point. It is really fun and inspirational working with the design team to create the perfect collection of fabrics that I have longed to see. I have so many Liberty fabrics in new colourways in my head and this is my perfect opportunity to see them printed and made into beautiful garments, quilts and many other sewing projects.
I wanted to create a new rainbow from my 2018 exclusive collection and these all coordinate together beautifully. The rainbow theme means that the whole collection works really well together for sewing projects and especially quilting. I went to Liberty with very specific designs and colours in mind and have created pretty new colourways of Mitsi, Betsy, Wiltshire, Irma, Capel, June’s Meadow, Felicite, Phoebe and Strawberry Thief. Rather excitingly, we have also used a little touch of gold for the first time on Betsy and have a Strawberry Thief in canvas on a larger scale too which is suitable for light interiors use. After many months of anticipation, it’s really exciting to receive the finished fabrics designs and I am really looking forward to sewing with them.
