Liberty Baby Quilt

I am really excited to have been able to work with Rosie and Hannah from The New Craft House on this really gorgeous Liberty Baby Quilt.

Rosie and Hannah were due to make and show off a beautiful baby quilt on Create & Craft TV  and approached me for some stunning Liberty fabric.  I put together a beautiful selection of blue and purple fabrics from my, now ridiculously huge, and ever growing stash of Liberty fabrics.  I, of course, jumped at the chance as putting fabric selections together is one of my very favourite things to do in life – I think I was born to spend hours pondering over colours and designs of Liberty fabric to make beautiful things.

My first sight of the made up quilt was on the Create & Craft show that Rosie and Hannah were on – they had done a really fabulous job of making it look so pretty.  The quilt would be absolutely perfect as a quilt for a baby boy or girl or if you don’t fancy making a baby quilt then it would be great as a lap quilt for someone who just loves their legs to be nice and warm.  Quilts like this are really versatile – my daughter now uses hers as a play mat for her dolls (it makes a great blanket to have a dolls tea party on).

You can see Rosie and Hannah’s post on the Liberty baby quilt here but if you want to see the full tutorial then you can find it on their guest blog entry on the Liberty craft blog.  Thanks so much to Rosie and Hannah for sharing their quilt and photos with me so I could share them with you.
