Liberty Boho Dress

I asked the ‘Lewes Sewing Bees’ if they would like to take on some sewing projects using my new exclusives. They were really keen and have come up with some gorgeous ideas.  The first of these projects is this beautiful Liberty Dress which uses all of the fabrics in my Exclusive Mustard and Grey collection. It’s made by Veronica Greenslade (@veronicalovingtosew on Instagram) and I love the cool hippy 70’s vibe that she’s created.

I asked Veronica about the make:

1.  Which pattern did you use and why?
“I was inspired by all the lovely tiered boho dresses that were in the shops this summer and I thought it would be great to showcase the range by mix and matching the prints throughout the dress.  I chose a SEE & SEW pattern no: B6540 as it was exactly what I was looking for.  The great thing about the pattern is that it can easily be adapted, adjusting the bodice and tiers to be different depths if wanted.”

2.  What led to your choice of fabrics?
“The fabrics in the Mustard & Grey Exclusives range are all beautiful and by choosing this design I was able to use them all.”

3.  Was it an easy make?
“It was a very easy make, as it says on the front of the pattern!  The sizing was true and the whole dress went together without any problems.”

4.  Do you love the finished dress?
“I absolutely love the finished dress.  I’m delighted with how it looks and love the way the Betsy, Mitsi and Wiltshire prints blend together.  They are the perfect combination for a light weight pretty summer dress.”

Thank you so much Veronica for making this beautiful dress.  I love it when the Lewes Sewing Bees projects arrive.  It’s such fun opening the parcels!
