Liberty Christmas Napkins

Anna from the office has made some sweet Liberty Christmas Napkins to decorate her Christmas table.  She’s used one of the gorgeous fabrics from the Liberty Christmas capsule collection.  The children will love spotting the cute animals (and it may keep them at the table for just a little longer..)

You will need:

Liberty fabric.  One fat quarter will make one napkin with fabric leftover.

Sewing machine and matching thread

The fabric:

Anna has used ‘Liberty Christmas Z‘ which comes from the Christmas collection to express the magic of the season.  This lively print is inspired by the Liberty London store’s interior. The wooden panels and balconies of the store are intricately carved with cheeky animals, who burst into life each night when the final visitors have left, to help and hinder all the Yuletide preparations.  There are so many things I love about this fabric.  The bear draped over the Liberty bag is one of my favourite characters, as well as the owl getting tangled in the tinsel and the monkey swinging in the Liberty Christmas tree.

To make the Liberty Christmas Napkins:

1. Cut a square of Liberty fabric approximately 18″ x 18″

2. Turn 1/4″ on one side , press.

3.  Turn again, press and sew.

4.  Repeat on remainder of sides.  Ta da – your napkin is finished.
