Festive Reindeer – Liberty Decoupage

Seeing as you went a bit crazy for my Liberty baubles, I thought I’d show you a little more Liberty decoupage with this fab Festive Reindeer I made over the weekend.

It’s a crafting project that you can easily do over a couple of days or even in an evening with some friends over a glass of something nice and fizzy! (well it is the season)

It’s a really simple crafting project and one that anyone can do.  You just need to make sure that you have your reindeer head and festive fabrics to get started.

I have made my reindeer with Christmas colours of Liberty reds and greens and I think you will agree he looks rather majestic.  You can go any size you like to suit the size of the space he will be filling.

Festive Reindeer

How to make your Festive Reindeer:

Step 1:  Buy a festive reindeer head in the style that you like – most decoupage shops will have them.  Buy some PVA glue and get some Christmas coloured Liberty scraps here.

Step 2:  Cut the fabric scraps into small pieces depending on the size of your festive reindeer.  The more random the shapes, the better.

Step 3:  Use PVA glue to stick the cut pieces of fabric onto the reindeer head.  It’s absolutely fine to use lots of glue and to go over the top of the fabric with glue as it dries clear.  Cover the whole reindeer with the different selection of fabrics.

Step 4:  Let your lovely reindeer dry overnight and then find a suitably prominent place to hang him on the wall.

You are finished!  Such a fun and easy project – happy crafting!
