Liberty Decoupage

Last month, we had four lovely girls in for work experience, Annie, Eve, Lilly and Gwen. They each got the chance to try out a little bit of everything here at Alice Caroline, from cutting fabrics to photography.

One of the many things they got up to was decoupage. Now, if you’re like us (I’m sure you are) and struggle to throw away even the tiniest scrap of Liberty – decoupaging is such a great way to use them up.

This is such a simple and calming project and also a great one to get kids involved in. All you need is PVA glue, a paintbrush and some lovely fabric scraps. The possibilities are endless.

Each of the girls decoupaged their initial and also a gorgeous Liberty rainbow which is now sitting pretty in the office – thanks girls! You can buy your own mache shapes like we did or even upcycle decor you already have lying around the house.
