Liberty Pumpkins

A bit early in the year for pumpkins in the UK I know, but Sewing Street asked us to come up with a Liberty autumn charm selection and we thought it would be a great idea to show you one great way to use them.

Liberty Pumpkins

Louise from the studio has made these using one of our 5″ charm packs. We’ve written a FREE pattern for you to use if you fancy having a go at a new sewing project. You can download the pattern HERE. Louise talks about the project.

“I love seasonal decorations and wanted to create something for my table for autumn, so thought I’d have a go at pumpkins as the segments give the opportunity to use lots of different Liberty prints, although they would look just as nice all in one colour if you wished.”

“Having the two different sizes is great as I might use the smaller one as a pincushion at the end of the season. After a bit of research on YouTube I decided on a method and was pleased to be able to use Alice Caroline 5″ charm squares for the project – the autumn colourway pack has the perfect selection of colours.”

“I finished off the larger pumpkin with a leaf made from a leather scrap, and the smaller one from a recycled ribbon – the perfect excuse to get my hot glue gun out!”
