Liberty Summer Dress

When one of my super lovely customers Tracy Aplin said she liked a fabric on Instagram, I asked her if she fancied making a Liberty Summer Dress from it.  She said yes and ta da – here it is.  Anna’s modelling Tracy’s rather gorgeous dress.

The fabric:  The fabric for the Liberty summer dress is called Magical Bouquet A

It was inspired by the exquisite grandeur of the National Gallery and its’ magical rooms. Their elegant Dutch flower paintings are captured in the rich blooming roses, tulips and carnations in this wonderfully vibrant fabric.

The fabric is from ‘A Pocket Full of Memories’ which is the new Liberty childrenswear collection for the Spring Summer 2018 season.  The inspiration behind this collection is of a child’s journey through a bustling city.  From glorious gardens to magnificent museums, inspiring archives and splendid art galleries, the day is an action-packed adventure of stunning sights, sensational sounds and dazzling discoveries.

The Pattern: Is the Washi Dress by Rae Hoekstra.  It’s a really sweet and flattering dress design which has a multitude of ways to make it fit your needs and style.  It also doesn’t have any zips which makes it a super fast and easy make.

Here’s the detail of the back of the Washi dress.
