Lara from the studio has made this super cute Pretty Liberty Picture. The Home is Where the Heart is message seems very appropriate at this strange and unsettling time in our lives across the world. Similar pictures often crop up at craft markets, but, with these missing at the moment, it’s really easy to make your own. Why not use this time in lockdown to make gifts for loved ones? You can make your very own using a basic frame, scraps of fabric and stylised scrabble pieces. See below for how to make this pretty Liberty picture.
You will need:
A shadow box picture frame.
Old scrabble pieces or stylised ones available from many craft stores.
Scraps of Liberty or other pretty fabric and felt.
Background paper.
String.
A small button.
Glue – PVA works really well.
This is such a lovely idea for a present to make to make a loved one smile. Our homes are so important at the moment – somehow they feel like the only safe places. We are all looking for things to keep us occupied. Our customers keep saying ow grateful they are that we are still able to send fabric orders out. It’s certainly been a challenge trying to operate in a way that means we can all socially distance ourselves, but we know that sewing and crafting is providing huge comfort in peoples lives at the moment.
Keep well everyone and happy sewing and crafting. #stayhome #staysafe
