Springtime Mini Sampler Quilt Kit

This Springtime Mini Sampler Quilt is a great way to explore a selection of spring inspired shapes and designs using pretty Liberty Fabric. Suitable for an advancing beginner sewer, it is constructed using

a mixture of techniques which will help to add to your sewing skills. English Paper Piecing (EPP) is a traditional hand sewing quilting method which is simple and quite addictive! The raw edge appliqué technique may be completed either by hand or with a sewing machine, the choice is up to you. It does require a bit of concentration, but is easily mastered and there is no end to the items you can make with this method of appliqué! Patchworking is the ‘classic’ method of quilting and this will be a great introduction to the technique. Decorative stitching adds extra interest and detail to the design of the blocks.

As pictured above, for the EPP and the appliqué shapes on the front we have used a selection of smaller scraps of Liberty Tana Lawn® in a bright rainbow selection of colours.
Your finished mini quilt can become a block in a larger quilt, a cushion or a wall hanging.
