I wanted to showcase The Liberty Snowflakes Quilt that we have shown on Hochanda TV as it’s so beautiful. Kathy has made this version of the quilt after I designed it a couple of years ago.  She’s been desperate to start another EPP (English Paper Piecing) project since her first one last year and this was the perfect opportunity.  It’s called the Liberty Snowflake Quilt and, as in the case of a Snowflake, each block is different. There are 48 different Liberty fabrics in the quilt, each giving another beautiful pattern and colour. I asked Kathy about her time making …

Paisley and Plains Liberty Quilt

Anna JP from the office has made this gorgeous Paisley and Plains Liberty Quilt.  It uses a quilt-as-you-go method of quilting which is fun and really easy.  If you are new to quilting or have never tried it before, then this is a great way to start. Here’s what Anna had to say about making the quilt. The fabrics:  “I used Liberty width of fabric x 4” for all the strips, so the finished quilt is width of fabric wide x about 200cm long. It took 25 strips in total although the plain colours I divided into narrower strips to …

We’ve recently arrived back from Latvia to deliver the Quilt SOS quilts to the children of the SOS Children’s Village in Islice.  Below is our story of the trip.   We took 65 beautiful quilts, made by our lovely customers, and personally delivered them to the children. Each year we choose a village run by the international charity SOS Children’s Villages.  We then coordinate the making of enough quilts so that every child in the village receives a beautiful hand-made gift of a quilt. We are always overwhelmed by the loving generosity of our customers,  a few made multiple quilts …
